Who can continue to operate in Saskatchewan?

Recycling operations captured under these essential services categories can continue to operate, in accordance with physical distancing practices:

  • Production, processing and supply chains of the manufacturing sector
  • Businesses, facilities and services that support and carry-out the two-way movement of essential goods within integrated North American and Global supply chains

CARI advises its members follow the physical distancing and hygiene recommendations of the Chief Public Health Officer.

 

Provincial support for businesses

Relief from Interest Charges
Businesses who are unable to remit their PST due to cashflow concerns will have relief from penalty and interest charges. Audit program and compliance activities have been suspended.

Workers’ Compensation Board will waive penalties and interest charges for late premium payments from April 1 until June 30, 2020 and will forgive interest and penalties for late payments applied in the month of March. Payroll audits are suspended until further notice except in situations where the employer is eligible for a refund.

Crown utilities will waive interest on late bill payments for up to six months.
