Curbside recycling collection has been suspended in some municipalities. Non-retail businesses can stay open, as long as workers can maintain physical distancing. CARI advises its members follow the physical distancing and hygiene recommendations of the Chief Public Health Officer.
WorkplaceNL is temporarily deferring the collection of employer premiums until June 30, 2020 and waiving interest charges or penalties. The deferral will be applied to all existing payment plans and post-dated cheques. Employers do not need to contact WorkplaceNL and will be able to revise their payroll estimates, used to calculate their assessment payable, prior to their payments being reinstated.
