Cari Electronics Recycling Workshop Attention Electronics Recyclers! (Download PDF version)
Governments and industry across Canada are focusing on responsible electronics recycling issues. Landfill bans are being enforced and every province has plans to enact electronic product take-back legislation such as now exits now in Alberta and Saskatchewan. More and more businesses are demanding fully accountable e-recycling services to protect them from liabilities related to both environmental and security risks. The Canadian Association of Recycling Industries (CARI) wants to help you grow your business! CARI, in conjunction with Electronics Product Stewardship Canada (EPSC) and the Recycling Council of Ontario (RCO), will host a one day workshop to address issues important and learn of markets to grow your e-recycling business. The workshop will also include facility tours of MaSeR Canada’s and Global Electric Electronic Processing (GEEP’s) state-of-the-art material recovery technologies. SAVE THE DATE! We look forward to interactive discussions to help us learn more about your business concerns and how CARI might best represent the interests of the Canadian electronics recycling industry. Complete agenda and program details to follow! CARI is the national organization of Canadian recycling industries. It was founded in 1941 and today it is comprised of some 265 companies ranging from individual scrap collectors to technologically advanced, capital intensive processing plants. Members are engaged in the recycling of all commodities, but the majority deal primarily or exclusively in metals. For additional information contact Donna Turner at (905) 426-9313.
